Every August 14, Dada Abu would bring out an old radio.
I used to laugh: "Dada abu now it's TV and mobile, why are you handling this junk?"
On the morning of August 14 last year, Dada Abu turned on that radio.
Out of it came the same speech of the Quaid-i-Azam: "What does Pakistan mean? La ilaha ila Allah."
Dada Abu's eyes became moist. Said: "Son, in 1947 we had no house, no food, but this was the radio. It showed that we were free."
Realized that day... we have everything but not that "passion".
Dada Abu is gone from this world, but now she takes over in radio. Because the real voice of freedom is in it. And that radio is still with me today.
