To achieve this homeland, people left their homes, separated from their loved ones, endured hardships and dreamed of a future where they can live according to their identity and ideology.
Today, when we are blessed with freedom, we should stop for a moment and think what are we doing with this freedom? Is freedom only to celebrate, wave the flag, wear green and white and listen to national songs? No! All these are expressions of our joy and love, but the true value of freedom comes when we understand the responsibility that comes with it.
