It was the night of August 14. There were lights everywhere in the neighborhood. Everyone was posting August 14 status. Harris posted a picture of the green crescent flag and wrote:
"We are free."
I had just hung up the phone when there was a knock on the door. Outside, the old kharob of the neighborhood was standing. In his hand was a tattered flag. Harris asked:
"Daddy! Where did you get it from?"
He said:
"It was lying in the garbage. I thought, how can I throw away the flag for which people left their homes?"
Harris fell silent. He kept the mobile aside, took the flag and looked at it for a long time.
