It was the morning of the fourteenth of August. Flags were smiling on every roof, but an old mansion was silent. An old soldier was sitting at the door with a tattered flag in his hand. A child approached and said:
"Dad! Bring a new flag?"
The old man said with moist eyes:
"Son! The flag is not new, the intention must be new."
The child wondered:
"What is your wish?"
The old man handed him the flag and said:
"Just promise, you will never let this country get dirty, you will avoid lies, you will make hard work your way."
The child raised the flag. The wind blew, the green crescent flag fluttered. The old man closed his eyes, a smile appeared on his lips and the lamp of freedom was lit forever.
