In a village, there lived a boy named Ahmad. Although young, his simplicity and good manners were the talk of the entire village.
One afternoon, while playing cricket in an open field with his friends, Ahmad spotted a gleaming leather wallet hidden in the grass. He picked it up, and upon opening it, found a good amount of cash and important identification papers.
Seeing the money, his friends immediately shouted, "Wow, Ahmad! Your luck has changed... Come on, let's buy tons of toys and pizza with this!"
Ahmad ignored them. He was thinking about something else. Pressing the wallet to his chest, he looked at his friends with a serious tone and said, "No, friends! This money isn't ours; it's someone's hard-earned savings. Think about how distressed the owner must be right now. We must find them and return this wallet at all costs."
Hearing this, his friends shrugged and went back to their game. Holding the wallet safely, Ahmad set out into the village streets and markets, asking passersby if anyone had lost something.
A short distance away, he saw an elderly man sitting by the roadside looking helpless, holding his head and glancing around anxiously. Ahmad ran over to him and asked affectionately, "Dear grandfather! Is everything alright? Why do you look so worried?"
The old man said with a trembling voice, "Son! My large purse has fallen somewhere. It contained my medicine money for the entire month and essential papers. Now I don't even have the fare to go back home."
Hearing this, a calm smile appeared on Ahmad’s face. He immediately placed the glowing wallet into the elder's lap and said, "Grandfather! Thank God that the trust has safely reached me. Please check, is this your purse?"
The old man opened the wallet with trembling hands, and tears of joy welled up in his eyes. He spontaneously pulled Ahmad into a warm embrace and said with deep emotion, "Son! You have given me a new life; this purse means everything to me."
The elder pulled out some money from his pocket to reward Ahmad, but Ahmad respectfully pulled his hands back and smiled, "No, grandfather! Your happiness and prayers are the greatest reward in the world for me. I don't want anything."
The old man raised his hands toward the sky and prayed from the depths of his heart, "Son! May Allah bless you with every success in this world and the hereafter!"
When this news spread through the village, everyone was talking about Ahmad's honesty.
