He was shivering badly from the cold. His house was built beside a stream. He was separated from his mother in an accident. After that he had no permanent abode. Wherever there was a suitable place, he could build his abode there. A few days ago, he had seen a big hole in the side of this canal. In the bitter cold, when he entered it, he felt great peace. This hole was more spacious, not too narrow. He found this place to be the best place to escape the cold. Now he started staying here most of the day and night.

One night suddenly the weather turned bad. Clouds thundered loudly in the sky and lightning flashed. This was the first time he had seen it, so he sat down. After a while, it started raining, making it even colder. If the matter was limited only to frost, it would have been tolerable, but due to the rain, the drainage water increased so much that it began to enter the hole more and more. Now it was not possible for him to stay there. He had to go out.

He was looking for a shelter from the rain, to get anywhere he had to cross the stream first. He climbed the hill with difficulty. His body was shivering badly from the cold.

Now this Karkh was facing the village. The intensity of the rain was decreasing but the speed of the cold was still there. He walked closer to the village but his stiff body was starting to stiffen. It was becoming difficult for him to walk further. He entered the village with courage and shouted loudly facing several doors, but no door opened for him. His courage had given an answer. Finally, he collapsed in front of a door, exhausted from the cold. He felt death approaching him. Darkness surrounded his eyes.

The last watch of the night. Ashraf uncle slowly got up with heavy feet and walked towards the bathroom with careful steps. He always got up at that time, taking care not to disturb the sleep of the sleeping people in the house. It was very cold, he wrapped his shawl well and went for ablution. Then they laid down the mosque and stood in the presence of the Almighty, with intention. Whether it was cold or hot, whether he was healthy or sick, Ashraf Chacha would never wake up in his routine of reciting Tahajjud at that time. The sound was that of a dog. Hearing the voices, they were worried that it would be in unspeakable pain in this severe cold and heavy rain.

He immediately got up and opened the door and looked outside. He was seen lying unconscious in front of the door. His body was stiff from the cold. Ashraf uncle quickly picked him up and brought him to the verandah inside his house. First he wiped his body with a cloth and then lit a fire near him. His body started getting warm from the heat of the fire. Soon he opened his eyes. Now his body had come to life. Ashraf uncle put milk in a small pot in front of him. He started to lick the milk quickly. When his stomach was full and the cold left his body, they locked him under a basket. A warm sack was also put over the basket to protect them from the cold.

When the day dawned and the bright sun spread everywhere, Ashraf uncle threw him out of the house so that he could go back to where he came from. After a long time, his son Nawaz opened the door to go out for some work. As soon as he looked outside, he was shocked. The dog was still sitting outside the door. As soon as he saw Nawaz, he started wagging his tail.

Nawaz came back inside and informed Abu that he is still sitting outside. Ashraf Chacha instructed him to take him somewhere far away, so Nawaz picked him up and left at a far place, but his plan also failed. Pilla was at their door in the evening. Now he had fallen in love with the walls and doors of this house. He himself had put the chain of Ashraf Chacha's kindness around his neck. Therefore, it was impossible for him to leave this door now. He was compelled by his loyal nature. He had decided to spend his life in Ashraf chachaki slavery.

Ashraf Chachaniki had thrown it into the river. Little did they know that the one they were kicking out of their home, wanted to spend the rest of their lives in exchange for this one night. He sent for Nawaz and called a friend of his. He had a large number of sheep and goats. Ashraf uncle said to him:

"Man! Keep it, the shepherd will protect your sheep and goats." Keep it tied up in your house for some time so that it gets used there and does not come back to my house.

The man took the puppy to his house and tied it to a peg. Now the days and nights of this bridge started to pass in the same way.

Then the cycle of days changed a lot. Instead of winter, summer began to show its youth. In six months, he grew up to be a vigorous young man. Despite the passage of so much time, he had not forgotten his benefactor, because of which he got a new life. Whenever he remembered that cold night, he desperately remembered Uncle Ashraf. He considered him the source of his new life.

One day, both his rope and the door of the house were left open. Seeing the opportunity, he immediately ran away. His direction was straight towards Ashraf uncle's house. As soon as he saw the door, he started going crazy with happiness. He pushed slightly to open the door, but it was locked from inside. Then he tried to enter from under the door. Saw. As soon as he saw, barking loudly, he started pushing the door.

Shoorse Ashraf Chachaki's eyes opened. He saw the dog's behavior. To drive him away, he picked up a stick. He opened the door with one hand and raised the stick in the other hand. As soon as the door was opened, the dog ran inside, and Ashraf uncle Kadanda came into motion, and instead of the dog's back, he fell straight on the ground, because he had jumped forward in one jump. Seeing the dog moving towards the cow, Ashraf uncle ran to kill him. The son's eyes also opened due to the noise. He saw the dog coming towards him and screamed loudly. He felt that the dog was about to attack him. At that moment Ashraf Chacha's shouting voice also hit his ears:

"Son! Children...children...''

At the same time, Ashraf Chacha Kadanda got up once again, but his direction had changed. A snake was clinging to the foot of the bed. He had reached Nawaz's feet. Before he could bite, the dog pounced and threw him away in its teeth. Ashraf Chacha's stick was resting on the head of a snake instead of a dog.

Nawaz got scared and stuck to the wall as soon as he saw the snake. After killing the snake, Ashraf uncle hugged his son and started thanking God.

The dog slowly crawled forward and put its head at Uncle Ashraf's feet and began to wag its tail and express happiness. Father and son recognized the dog at first sight. Ashraf Chacha was seeing with his own eyes the compassion shown in this cold night. The result of this goodness was that today there was a safe and secure presence in front of his house.

"Son! Bring the bricks..." he ordered Nawaz.

Ashraf Chachakta got busy in building a house because now he needed a dog to protect his sheep and goats. He had started raising sheep two months ago. Meanwhile, there was a knock on the door. He opened the door and saw that the friend to whom he had given the dog was standing. He apologized and said:

"I had no idea that it would still haunt you after so long."

"Now you don't worry about it! It will stay with us." Ashraf said chachaya and got busy building the dog house again.
