Talha was about twelve years old. His parents had passed away when he was eleven, leaving him to live with his grandmother in a small village near the bustling town. Talha always thanked God for their modest home, but life was not easy. His grandmother would often complain about her neighbors' clothes, and after school, Talha would work at a nearby fruit stall till late at night for a few coins that were never much but enough for him to be happy. He would give some of it to his grandmother and save the rest in a small box for future needs like new shoes, school uniform, and other small desires.

One day at school, there was a boy named Zahid whose father owned a clothing shop. Zahid never had money issues; he often teased Talha and mocked his simple life. He called him "Karimu Chacha" (small log) jokingly.

One evening, Talha came back from school as usual and heard his grandmother say:

"Bee’ta! Hurry up and bring some wood from Chacha Karimu’s store; I need it to make you a bed tonight."

Talha loved making beds with wood. He eagerly ran home and went straight to Chacha Karimu's store to buy some wood quickly before heading back.

Chacha Karimu stood by the door eagerly awaiting their meeting; he was always kind-hearted towards them. Most times, he gave Talha more wood than what they paid for, likely helping out his dear neighbor's grandson.

The weight of the heavy logs made Talha tired soon. He stopped by the roadside to rest when suddenly he saw Zahid approaching from one side—his father walking beside him.

Seeing Zahid approach reminded Talha of how he often teased him harshly. As Zahid approached closer:

"Zahid! Why are you going home? Come with me; these woods aren't too heavy."

"Sure! Why not? You can hold them on your dad’s cart too," Zahid said playfully.

He helped Talha place the logs on the cart but then suddenly sped it up uncontrollably as they walked together.

Talha struggled to keep balance under this sudden acceleration; he fell flat on his face just as Zahid ran away laughing behind him.

The fall caused a bruise on Talha's forehead along with some bleeding. Shaken up by this sight, tears welled up in his eyes as he watched helpless while Zahid laughed and ran off until out of sight.

Wounded but determined not to give in completely, Talha headed towards Chacha Karimu's store again without further ado—or so it seemed initially until Chacha asked why such an accident happened that day:

"Oh son! What happened? Did you get into an argument or where are those woods?"

Talha explained everything honestly to Chacha Karimu who listened carefully before reacting:

"Oh my son! Your friend didn't do well!"

"Friend... Maybe he doesn't see me as a friend anymore since I tease him constantly or perhaps we just don't understand each other properly being classmates," chided Talha through weeping eyes.

"Yes! A friend is someone who shares classes together; friends stick together! Don’t lose touch over petty matters! Take these woods home now – your grandma is waiting," advised Chacha Karimu while looking at the logs thoughtfully before letting Talha go home carrying them proudly once more on his shoulders under encouragement from an older man whom one could trust someday if only life allowed them such chances again someday soon...

Two months later news reached Talh that Zahid’s father had suffered an accident which left both parents bedridden entirely without resources available anymore due to hospital bills etcetera...

As days passed by seeing how things were getting harder even for family due to worsening conditions brought upon them now especially now after losing both parents earlier... It felt like all hopes were fading gradually?

At last after navigating through difficult circumstances where everyone around struggled including young little Zaid himself forced into taking responsibility sooner... The local mechanic Shop became destination every evening instead of school because there was no choice left except working hard towards survival rather than pursuing education goals which someday might seem distant dreams indeed!

One afternoon returning from school downtown where time seemed longer today than usual –just like previous days filled with uncertainty-when suddenly talham noticed zahid limping badly holding onto one foot seeming unable move beyond certain point even though still trying hard.... Feeling shocked recognizing signifiance hidden beneath surface childlike innocence revealed itself softly breaking heartstrings entangled within strong yet fragile hearts hidden deep inside everyday struggles faced bravely despite tough realities...

When talh reached zahids house right nextdoor found out what has been lacking all these times between childhood friends becoming strangers once again due unspoken differences masking genuine feelings held secretly locked away silently waiting opportunity ripen someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward eventually leading towards brighter tomorrows full of promise hope love & friendship shared once again someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward eventually leading towards brighter tomorrows full of promise hope love & friendship shared once again someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward someday bringing joyous reunions among old companions rekindling lost connections lighting paths forward eventually leading towards brighter tomorrows full of promise hope love & friendship shared once again someday
