The oceans are in danger
Oceans are a very important part of our earth. They cover about three-fourths of the Earth's surface and play an important role in balancing the climate, establishing the rainfall system and providing habitat for countless living organisms. However, today the oceans are under threat due to pollution and climate change.
Every day, large amounts of plastic, garbage, and wastewater enter the sea through rivers and streams. Bottles, shopping bags, food wrappers and old nets are dangerous to marine animals. Some animals mistake plastic for food, while others get trapped in bags and nets and get injured. Fish, turtles, dolphins and sea birds are affected by this pollution.
Marine pollution can also harm humans. Toxins in contaminated water can leach into fish and other seafood. In addition, garbage spoils the beauty of beaches, affecting tourism and fishing.
Climate change is also a big problem for the oceans. Rising temperatures are warming the oceans and affecting coral reefs. The melting of icebergs and glaciers is causing sea levels to rise, increasing the risk of coastal flooding and erosion.
To save the oceans, we must reduce the use of plastic, put garbage in the right place and promote recycling. The government should also make strict laws to prevent pollution.
Protecting the oceans is actually protecting your life, health and future
